Cases: The customer provides customized glow in the dark masterbatches with RAL 1003 color code for PP material application.
Problem Arising: The customer wants to know the connection between brightness and adding proportion.
Analysis & Solutions：
As a factory specializing in producing glow in the dark pigment, we often encounter customers who need to customize color of master batch according to Pantone or RAL, so as to customize product body color.
After many experiments, we have some test results and experience to share with you.
The luminous pigment can be mixed with the toner and plastic materials in a certain proportion to make master batch. The color of the master batch can be customized according to the proportion of toner and glow in the dark pigment.
Customized Color Sample:
The following picture shows the sample which mix PP material with glow in the dark master batch of different proportion. From left to right, the proportion of luminous masterbatch in the final product is 4%, 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% respectively. The color is customized according to RAL 1003. we make a comparison between body color and luminous color.

Experimental Results: The higher the dosage of master batch is ,the brighter the product is, but the cost will also be higher.

Non-customized Color Sample:
The following picture shows the sample which mix PP material with glow in the dark master batch of different color . the proportion of glow in the dark master batch in the final product is 4%. we make a comparison between body color and luminous color.
Due to customer don’t need customized color, we added less toner, and the sample became more transparent.

Below Is The Comparison Of Brightness Based On Above Samples:
We can learn from above picture that even though the proportion of glow in the dark masterbatch added to customized color samples is much higher than that of non customized color samples, the brightness is lower and the afterglow is shorter
In order to customize the body color of sample, we need to add more toner to adjust the color,but the toner will cover the brightness of glow in the dark powder.
If more toner is added, the proportion of glow in the dark masterbatch should be increased accordingly improve brightness, and the cost will increase accordingly.
Conclusion: If you have need to custom a specific body color , the cost and brightness needs to be sacrificed. If you require high luminous brightness, the color of the sample may not be able to match perfectly
